Fernando Gonzalez
Fernando is a Partner and Head of Global Capital Strategy at QED Investors, where he works across the investment lifecycle—from sourcing and capital formation to portfolio growth and liquidity. As part of QED’s investment team, he has supported and helped scale a diverse set of high-growth companies globally.
Previously, Fernando served as QED’s Entrepreneur in Residence, where he founded Coru, an AI-native fintech platform focused on democratizing financial services in Latin America. Coru is now led by seasoned operators—a testament to QED’s ability to build and transition high-impact ventures when needed. Before QED, Fernando spent over two decades at the intersection of technology, finance, and entrepreneurship. He held senior roles at comScore, where he led a business unit through a successful exit to Adobe, and at MicroStrategy, where he helped build the core enterprise analytics business during its early hypergrowth phase and led the incubation of a strategic product later acquired by Meta (formerly Facebook).
Fernando holds an MBA from the University of Maryland and an engineering degree from Tec de Monterrey. He brings deep domain expertise across fintech infrastructure, AI, enterprise SaaS, and go-to-market strategy. An active angel investor, advisor, and mentor, Fernando is recognized for bridging hands-on operating experience with institutional investment rigor. He is an emerging leader in scaling QED into the premier global fintech-specialized venture fund, known for combining sharp investment discipline with hands-on operational expertise.
